[00:00:01] Hello. Welcome to Sharing the good news. I'm your host, Dominic. And today I wanted to go into a little bit further, what we went into in our last episode. So in our last episode, we talked about the judgment that is to come, and Very brief, just went over a few of the scriptures that talk about that. And what I want to do next is talk about the outcome of the judgment, what happens after the judgment. Okay, so we have this judgment and then what? [00:00:31] And I want to read to you a couple of scriptures in this brief overview to show you what Christ says is going to happen after the judgment. Because just like God created this earth to be inhabited by us, God actually has created a place for people to dwell in the next life. There's a place that is not good. Okay. Which we're going to talk about a little bit right now, which is going to be the lake of fire. [00:00:56] Hell, right? A lot of people, you know, you've heard the word hell. And the Bible talks about the lake of fire. And just the description of that tells you something, right? And then, of course, you have heaven, Okay. A place where it is that God dwells. So I want to read to you what Christ said here in Matthew, chapter 25. [00:01:15] Now, if you remember, in the last episode, we read that scripture in Revelation, chapter 20, right? And you're going to hear a similarity as you read what Christ is saying here in Matthew, chapter 25. So Matthew 25:31, it says, when the Son of man shall come in his glory and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory. And before him shall be gathered all nations. And he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from his goats. And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on his left. [00:01:53] Okay? So you're seeing Christ is here. He's on the throne, right? [00:01:59] Everybody's gathered before him, all nations. And just like we read in our last episode in Revelation, everybody small and great, doesn't matter your status in life. Everybody is equal. Everybody's going to be present, everybody's going to be judged. [00:02:14] So he says, then what he does is everybody's gathered together. [00:02:19] And then he makes this separation. [00:02:21] On one side, he says there's the sheep, and on one side there's the goats. [00:02:25] And there's a reason why he calls one side sheep and one side goats, right? If you look at the nature of each of these animals, sheep are. [00:02:36] They're submissive. They follow, right? They have. They have this docile spirit, goats on the Other hand, they're, they're the exact opposite, right? Goats are very stubborn. You know, they're very destructive. [00:02:50] They, they're, they're strong willed. They don't want to be told what to do. They don't want to be restrained, all these things, okay? So there's, there's meaning behind what he's saying here. So then he says in verse 34, then shall the king say unto them on his right hand, come, ye, blessed of my father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world, okay? So at the end time, the righteous are going to be able, they're going to be given and enter into this very special kingdom which is in heaven, okay, Where God dwells and he goes on down and he explains basically that those of you that I am, that I am calling in, you were obedient to me. You, you were loving, you did what I would do, okay? So he says, when I was hungry, you gave me meat, I was thirsty, you gave me drink. I was a stranger, you took me in naked and you clothed me. I was sick and you visited me. I was in prison and you came to me. And then the righteous, it says when they hear this, they're like, when did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or gave you drink? And he said, and he goes on, in verse 39, he says, Excuse me, verse 40. And then shall the king answer and say unto them, verily, which is. Which is an Old English word for truly I say unto you, and as much as you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me. [00:04:17] So here as Christ is talking about the judgment, he reveals another very important truth. [00:04:23] He says, what you have done to the least of one of my children, it's like, you've done it to me. [00:04:30] So think about that in both ways. Think about if you do something mean to somebody, wrong to somebody, one of God's children, that's like doing it to Christ. And on the flip side, when you do something kind, something loving to one of God's children, he says, it's like you've done it to me. [00:04:46] So he's rewarding these ones who have been faithful. If you look at all the different things that he says here, this is the fruit. This is the results of somebody who is obeying the things that, that God has given to us in his words. This is what you're going to see in the life of somebody who's actually listening and obeying and really seeking to become like Christ. [00:05:07] So then he goes on. And he says in verse 41, he says, then shall he say unto them, on the left hand, depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels. [00:05:22] This is a very different outcome, right? This is the ones on the left hand. This is the goats. [00:05:26] He says, you are cursed. [00:05:29] There's a place of everlasting fire, okay? That's where you're going to go. This is not the end that we want to have. And he's going to say the exact opposite. Now to them he's going to say, I was hungry and you gave me no meat, I was thirsty, you gave me no drink. I was a stranger and you took me not in naked, and you clothed me not sick and in prison you visited me not. And then they're going to ask the very same question. We Lord, we never saw you, right? In verse 44, then shall they answer him saying, lord, when saw we thee a hungered or, or a thirst or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison and did not minister to thee. [00:06:08] Then shall he answer saying unto them, verily I say unto you, inasmuch as you did it not to one of the least of these, you did it not to me. [00:06:17] And these shall go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into life eternal. [00:06:25] This is the outcome of the judgment. There's two places, that's it. [00:06:30] There's life eternal, okay? A beautiful blessing, a place where it is that we're going to be in the kingdom of heaven with God, where the scriptures tell us a little bit about that place. There's no more sorrow, no more tears, no more all the sufferings that we deal with now, we're not going to experience those things. That's one outcome. The other outcome is very different. Everlasting punishment. [00:06:57] That's not. That's not the side you want to find yourself on. [00:07:00] That's not the side God wants you to be found on. [00:07:03] So here again, what Christ is doing is he's showing us what this is going to look like. He doesn't. God does not want there to be any secrets as far as to what's going to happen at the end time. That's not the purpose of this. [00:07:17] The purpose of the scriptures is to reveal to us what's going to happen so that we can know what to do about it. So as we think about these things, bring into consideration that, look, at the end of time, there's only two places you're going to be able to go. One of them is a place of everlasting punishment. And one of them is a place of everlasting life. I want to be on the side of life. I want to have everlasting life. [00:07:41] And so as we continue to go through this podcast, what we're going to do is we're going to explain how do I get there? That's one of life's most important questions, if not the most important question. [00:07:52] How do I get to this place of eternal life that God has promised to all of his children? How do I get there? [00:08:00] And as we go through this, we're going to talk more about how you get there. So send me an email sharing the good news34gmail.com would love to hear any questions you have. Would like to connect with you. And stay tuned as we continue to go through these this series right now is just going to be just very surface overview things to be able to give us a brief understanding upon these topics. And there will be some episodes that are going to go into deeper dives that are going to help us understand these things on a much deeper level, looking at a lot more scripture and going into a lot more detail than what we're doing in these in these short overview clips. I hope you have a great day. Take these things into consideration and we will see you next time.
